What is required to book a trip?
After coordinating the date & time with Captain Josh, you will need to provide a 20% deposit to complete the booking.
What is your cancellation policy?
If it is unsafe to travel, you can either cancel free of charge or change the date(s) of your reservation. However, the deposit is non-refundable if the cancellation is not due to weather.
What type of payments do you accept?
Grand Slam Charters accepts the following payment methods:
Cash
Venmo
CashApp
Credit Card (there is a 3% surcharge)
Are tips required?
Tips are not required, but are greatly appreciated. Good trips are typically 10-15%. Great trips are 20-30%.
Do I need a fishing license?
No. Grand Slam Charters supplies all required fishing licenses. Customers are not required to provide their own.
Can we keep what we catch?
Yes. As long as the fish is in-season and meets the size requirements, you will be able to keep anything you catch. Captain Josh will clean and filet all of your catches at the dock.
Do I need a cooler?
Grand Slam will have coolers to accommodate on board for your food and drinks, however you may want to bring a cooler to leave in your vehicle so that you can bring your catch home with you.
What should I bring on the boat?
Grand Slam Charters boat are fully equipped with rods, reels, bait, coolers, and ice. You will need to bring any food and beverages that you'd like to have during the day, as well as sun protection (long sleeves, hat, non-spray sunscreen).
Is alcohol allowed?
Yes, as long as you are of 21 years of age or older.
